WENATCHEE, WA. — In the Super Regional tournament, Tacoma Community College's season ended with a loss to Shoreline, as they fell 12–5 in a single elimination game on Friday at a host school, Wenatchee Valley College. TCC managed a pair of home runs and drew seven walks, but Shoreline's 21 hits sealed the win.
Tacoma opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning. Braden Jones reached first on an error, which allowed him to advance and ultimately score. Ethan Mar also crossed the plate after Vaughn Lowe's RBI single, giving TCC a 2–0 lead.
Shoreline responded in the second inning, tying the game 2–2 with Gabriel Johnson's double bringing home two runs.
In the third inning, Shoreline took the lead with a solo home run by Joshua Williams, making it 3–2.
Shoreline further extended its lead in the fourth inning. Joshua Williams' RBI single and a sacrifice fly contributed to two additional runs, putting Shoreline ahead 5–2.
TCC remained scoreless until the sixth inning when it narrowed the gap. Jones hit a two-run homer, followed by Mar's solo home run, reducing the deficit to 7–5.
Shoreline added two more runs in the seventh inning, increasing its lead to 9–5. Mario Martinez's single brought in two runs.
In the eighth inning, Shoreline scored three more runs, solidifying its advantage at 12–5.
The game concluded with a final score of Shoreline 12, TCC 5.
Butch Kiblen started for TCC, pitching 4 innings with 9 hits allowed, 5 earned runs, and 2 strikeouts on 68 pitches. Connor Speer followed, contributing 1 1/3 innings with 3 hits and 2 earned runs, while issuing 2 walks and striking out 1 batter. Atticus Manning pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowing 7 hits and 5 earned runs, striking out 1 and walking 2. Reece Boekenoogen closed the game with 1 1/3 innings, surrendering 2 hits and issuing 1 walk.
