Titans Lose To Host School In First Game
ONTARIO, Ore. — The Tacoma volleyball team fell to Treasure Valley in straight sets, losing 0-3 with scores of 17-25, 16-25, and 18-25 on Saturday afternoon during the NWAC Regional Tournament. Tacoma recorded a total of 47 digs and 7 blocks in the matchup.
Emilia Linden recorded 10 kills and four solo blocks, contributing significantly to TCC's scoring with 15 points. Kylee Harris facilitated the offense with 17 assists while also adding 12 digs and a service ace. Kelli English anchored the defense, collecting 16 digs and serving one ace. Rasheeda Gordon was efficient on the attack, hitting .455 with six kills and one block assist.
Karly Clark emerged as a standout performer for Treasure Valley, leading the team with 15 kills and a .353 hitting percentage over three sets, contributing significantly with a total of 16 points. Katelyn Markley also played a crucial role, amassing 11 kills and achieving a .219 hitting percentage, while adding three service aces to her 15-point tally. Naomi Shipley showcased her versatility with 26 assists and a remarkable .462 hitting percentage, complementing her six kills and 10 digs. These players were instrumental in Treasure Valley's competitive efforts.
