BELLEVUE, Wash. — Tacoma Community College (2-2) fell to Bellevue College (6-2) with a final score of 102-68 on Saturday at Bellevue College. TCC's bench contributed 30 points in the game, but Bellevue's strong shooting performance, with 62.7 percent from the field, secured their victory.
The first half began with Bellevue establishing a dominant presence, quickly taking a lead with efficient scoring in the paint. Daniel Kabamba opened the scoring with a layup just 21 seconds into the game, assisted by Isaiah White. TCC briefly tied the score at 2-2 with a layup from Landen Glodowski, but Bellevue responded with a 9-3 run, highlighted by Sawyer Cottrell's three-pointer at the 17:42 mark. Bellevue extended their lead to 23 points with 3:03 remaining, as White's layup concluded a fast-paced scoring stretch. Despite TCC's efforts, led by Jakoi Lide's seven points, Bellevue maintained a commanding 53-30 advantage at halftime.
Bellevue maintained a strong lead throughout the second half, extending their advantage to 46 points at the 5:45 mark. White scored consistently for the home team, contributing with a layup and a three-pointer early in the period. Will Woodward also played a pivotal role, adding multiple layups and a three-pointer to Bellevue's score. Despite TCC's efforts, highlighted by Donovan Gill's and Pawlose Aschalew's scoring, Bellevue's defense secured seven steals, ensuring a decisive 102-68 victory.
