TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma defeated Olympic 105-94 in a non-conference game on Saturday. This game marked TCC's season opener, and they shot 61.3 percent from the field, including 54.2 percent from beyond the arc, to secure the victory.
The game began with TCC gaining an early lead as Jakoi Lide sank a three-pointer, assisted by Samuel Taylor. The team maintained momentum throughout the first half, extending their lead to 16 points at the 2:04 mark with a jumper from Dylan Wiggins. Lide was instrumental in TCC's offense, scoring consistently, including another layup to bring their score to 43. Despite efforts from Olympic's D'Angelo Moore, who contributed with a key jumper and free throws, TCC concluded the half ahead, 57-44.
