Season Preview - Men's Basketball
**TCC Men's Basketball 2025-26 Season Preview**
As the Tacoma CC Men's Basketball team gears up for the 2025-26 season, anticipation is high. After a 17-11 record last year and narrowly missing the playoffs due to team injuries, the Titans are looking to reset this season.
Turner Cagle steps in as head coach, bringing a wealth of experience from his tenure as an assistant coach since 2020. Cagle is committed to instilling a culture of toughness and accountability within the team, a foundation he believes will drive success on and off the court.
The team welcomes dynamic new players Donovan Gill and Jakoi Lide. Both freshmen are expected to bring a strong offensive and defensive presence to the lineup. Joining them is Pawlose Aschelew, who adds versatility and depth to the roster.
Returning sophomores Denali Hatcher and Dylan Wiggins offer valuable game experience, providing stability and leadership to the team. Additionally, redshirt freshman Henry Benninghoven contributes an invaluable "everyday guy" attitude, embracing the hardworking culture being fostered by Coach Cagle.
The Titans are set to open their season with the Titan Classic, a home tournament that promises to deliver early challenges and opportunities for growth. By competing against National Junior College opponents like North Idaho, the team will gain crucial experience as they prepare for conference play.
With a focus on integrating new talent and reinforcing a strong team culture, TCC Men's Basketball aims to make strides in the upcoming season. The commitment to toughness and community is set to guide the team as they strive towards their goal of a west region title.
As the 2025-26 season unfolds, the Titans will look to their blend of seasoned returners and promising newcomers to navigate the challenges ahead. The journey begins as they hit the court today, ready to make their mark.
Go Titans!
