TCC Struggles in Game 3 at Clark
VANCOUVER, Wash. — Tacoma Community College fell to Clark College with a final score of 15–5 on Friday at Kindsfather Field. Despite the loss, Tacoma managed to hit four doubles and drew four walks during the game.
Clark took an early lead against TCC in the first inning with three runs, initiated by Drew Yount's walk and stolen base, followed by Caden Taylor's single. Taddeo Ituarte contributed an RBI single, and a sacrifice and an error brought in two more runs, ending the inning at 3–0 in Clark's favor.
TCC responded in the second inning with Nate Kimmel's single and Kaden Cretti's RBI double, which brought Kimmel home. Cretti later scored on an error, narrowing the gap to 3–2, Clark leading.
In the fourth inning, Tacoma's Kimmel walked and scored after Cretti's single and an error by Clark's third baseman. Elijah McNair-Neal's sacrifice allowed Cretti to score, tying the game temporarily before Clark's offense surged. Clark added five runs, highlighted by Taylor's three-RBI double and Ituarte's RBI double, to regain the lead at 8–4.
Tacoma managed another run in the fifth inning when Brayden Buck scored on a throwing error, but Clark countered with five more runs, including two from Taylor's single, extending its lead to 13–5.
Clark added two more runs in the sixth, aided by a wild pitch that scored one and DJ Ringenbach's RBI double, finalizing a commanding victory.
Clark defeated the TCC with a final score of 15–5.
Oscar Hyde started on the mound for Tacoma, pitching 3 1/3 innings. He allowed four earned runs on two hits, while striking out three and walking two. Juan Hernandez-Mendoza entered in relief, lasting only 2/3 of an inning and giving up six earned runs on four hits, along with two walks and two strikeouts. Atticus Manning finished the game, pitching two innings and surrendering four earned runs on three hits, with two walks and three strikeouts.
