Nate Jetton Shines in Tacoma CC's 3-1 Win Against Bellevue
BELLEVUE, Wash. — Tacoma Community College (4-2) secured a 3-1 victory over Bellevue College (3-8) on Sunday evening. This matchup marked the fourth and final game of the series. The game saw Tacoma break a tie in the seventh inning, scoring two decisive runs to clinch the win.
Bellevue took the lead in the bottom of the third inning when T. Holden tripled and scored on a single by Z. Hudson, putting Bellevue ahead 1-0.
Tacoma responded in the fifth inning. Tyson Rather walked, advanced to second on a groundout, stole third, and then scored on a wild pitch, tying the game 1-1.
In the seventh inning, TCC broke the tie. Kaden Cretti was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a single by Braden Jones. Nate Jetton singled, driving in Cretti. Brayden Buck, who pinch ran for Jones, scored on a subsequent play, giving Tacoma a 3-1 lead.
Austin Nelson pitched 5 innings, allowing 8 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 2 batters.
